So I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect summer maxi dress. I wanted something loose, with a little flow to it and a piece that had some interest to it – I love surprising details in a classic piece.
And that’s exactly what I got when I picked up this little black {maxi} dress for the summer!

This dress is all sorts of amazing that I decided it deserved its very own blog post – I had to share it with you guys! Not only because its comfortable + looks {not to mention feels!} great on, but for the price, under $23, it is a great staple piece to add to your wardrobe.
I purchased this dress on Amazon, and I wasn’t really sure if it would work out or not – purchasing a new brand online, you are always gambling if it will fit, but with free shipping + free returns, I figured I had nothing to lose!
I immediately loved the feel of the fabric of this dress – it’s thick, but not heavy. Definitely substantial fabric. I also am obsessed with the side slits – gives the dress a bit of a flow to it, with a feminine feel – helps with air flow on a hot summer day to keep you cool, but covered from the sun!
The open back detail also caught my eye and was really fun to wear – could be cool to add a great lace or fun strapped bra with detail + color to add a little pop of interest too!
I’m really happy with my Amazon Fashion find of this dress because it’s a great piece to wear as a cover-up to the beach or pool but it’s also a gorgeous + easy piece to wear with fun accessories + shoes to dress up for happy hour or a date night. It’s super easy to just throw on a go – love everything about that!
This dress is also super versatile for all seasons because of the color and because of the sleeves – easy to wear in the summer, but I also plan to wear it in the Fall + Spring months too! Would be super cute with a denim jacket or a cozy sweater and some fun booties – maybe even a chic hat too!
