The Glow: A Jack-O-Lantern Experience, in Philadelphia – a VLOG

Another blog post and another video for ya!  I am excited to share with you our visit to The Glow: A Jack-o-Lantern Experience in Philly, which we went to over this past weekend! I had my friend and her 3 kids come up and visit us from Virginia for the day – she had heard about The Glow and was excited we could all check it out together.

Here’s my video recap – can’t wait to hear what you think!

The Glow is located in Fairmount Park, by the Mann Center – for all my Philly friends. It’s also going to be in Nashville and DC/Northern Virginia. It was really fun to do something different and festive this time of year – other than going to a pumpkin patch, which I also LOVE.

Brooks will be 4 in January and he liked it, but didn’t LOVE it. I think he just isn’t used to being out in the dark {he has a 7:00 bedtime} and he wasn’t loving the scary music that was being played in the dark. But he took a seat in the stroller and had a snack and then I think he was able to take it all in a bit more.

Graham {who is 2} stayed at home for this one and Brooks and I had a little mama + babe date – which I think is important to do every once in a while. A little special night out for my little man.

The Glow was cool – it featured over 5,000 hand carved, illuminated pumpkins – it was cool to see all the detail, which was hard for me to capture in the video because it was so dark, but every single thing you saw was made out of pumpkins – which was beautiful.

We went at 7:00pm and it wasn’t huge crowds yet, which was nice – so we were able to move along the lines to see everything fairly quick. If I was going by myself or just with friends, I would have thought it was a little on the short side, but with a 3 year old who is out past bedtime, it was perfect!

If you have The Glow coming to your neck of the woods, check it out for sure – and let me know what you think!
