One Weekend, Two Easter Egg Hunts + Brunch with the Easter Bunny Style

The weekend before Easter weekend and we had all sorts of Easter fun! Two Easter egg hunts for the boys – back to back – one Saturday, one Sunday. Needless to say, by the end of the weekend – the boys were pros.

On Saturday we spent the morning in St. David’s with my parents and brother + SIL – we did a Brunch with the Easter Bunny and a hunt for the boys.  Because of all the snow this past week, we had to have the hunt inside, but it was a nice first experience for the boys – it made it lots of fun {without the cold + mud}

And they weren’t so excited to hang out with the Easter Bunny when we saw him at the mall, but eventually warmed up to him at brunch.

I think the enjoyed all the chocolate that he put in the eggs he hid! The Easter Bunny is not so bad when he brings all the treats!

On Sunday we did a Easter egg hunt with all our neighbors in Fairmount – it’s something they do every year and we really look forward to it. Unfortunately, the hunt was outside, which was still a bit of a muddy mess, but I put the boys in rainboots and they were good to go.

The boys loved it – the only thing I didn’t love was the lack of chocolate! Inside all these eggs were chewy, gummy candy! What’s up with that?! Dentists + pediatricians agree – chocolate > candy {in moderation} especially when it comes to kids teeth. My kids don’t eat that stuff, so they were sort of bummed when I had to take most of it away, they literally got no chocolate. Bummer.

They did however enjoy the temporary tattoos + bubbles.

And for fun, because I love to share my #momstyle –

Here’s my look of the weekend from our brunch with the Easter Bunny!

outfit details:  open front cardigan / shift dress / OTK boots

/ chandelier earrings /  lipstick

I LOVED pairing this  open front cardigan  {which comes in a million colors} with this floral shift dress – the eggplant color matched perfectly, without being too matchy {in my opinion} and it was perfect for the season.

You need a little color for an Easter Brunch, and floral for Spring!

I kept it a little conservative with the crew neck top of the dress, added a cozy layer in the sweater + added the perfect OTK boots {which are SO comfortable} to dress it up a bit. It was easy to chase after the kids, while still looking put together for brunch, in this look.

It’s Spring Break {woohoo} for Brooks’ Pre-School this week – no idea why thats necessary, but whatever – so we have some fun things going on. Be sure to follow along on Instagram to see what we are up to!

Do you have anything fun planned? Please share!
