Best Mother’s Day Brunch with a View in Philadelphia at XIX Nineteen Restaurant, The Bellevue Hotel

Last week I had the honor of joining some of my fellow mom bloggers in Philadelphia for a little pre-Mother’s Day treat – brunch at XIX Nineteen Restaurant in The Bellevue Hotel.

But first, outfit details.

dress / Kelin earrings / Natia necklace / lipstick – in Caro / shoes {similar – on Sale!}

This dress is AMAZING – it’s the perfect thing to throw on when its crazy hot out and you want to look cute, but not like you are sweating up a storm.

And did I mention it’s only $11?!

Seriously, the most comfortable and cute dress – perfect for Mother’s Day brunching – and a fun piece to wear in the spring with a denim jacket or cardigan and into the summer. Love this one.

Ok – onto BRUNCH!

I have actually been to XIX Nineteen a bunch of times, but I’ve only been to the bar – ha. It’s my go-to spot before going to the Kimmel Center for a show. The happy hour sips + eats are always on point, and it’s so cool to be enjoying a bit to eat and drink with a great view of the city. So I was beyond excited when I had the opportunity to come and check out the restaurant itself.

We were set up in a private room, which made the experience even more special.

Did I mention great views? Because isn’t that beautiful?!

We were immediately greeted with mimosas – because I don’t believe there ever can be a Mother’s Day brunch without them.

Before the brunch actually began we were able to enjoy an assortment of cheese and charcuterie: honeyed pecans, plum jam, strawberry balsamic jam, an assortment of artisan breads alongside an assortment of freshly sliced fruit.

Yes, it was as good as it looked. Yum!

While we enjoyed the appetizers and mimosas, we got to take in the views of the city and check out the beautiful restaurant itself. My favorite piece of decor in the restaurant was hands down the “Pearl Room” – this handcrafted chandelier is made up of 2,848 peal shaped facets.

Fun Fact: Thomas Edison designed the lighting and electricity in the building, which is likely the first fully-electrified building in the country.

Back to the FOOD!

The First Course was an assortment from the Raw Bar, including poached jumbo lump shrimp, little neck clams, freshly shucked oysters, cocktail sauce and mignonette.

The Raw Bar assortment was served alongside Jumbo Lump Maryland Blue Crab with shaved asparagus, grapefruit and chervil. This was light, fresh and delicious. I was in LOVE with the grapefruit and Blue Crab combination.

First Course wasn’t over yet – We also got to enjoy a Heirloom Cherry Tomato Salad with smoked mozzarella, balsamic Cipollini  onions, grilled scallions and a herbed Italian dressing. This was also delicious and how gorgeous is that flower on top?

Are you full yet? We are just getting started!

Now it’s time for the Main Course! First up is the Skuna Bay salmon en papillote. Romanesco, oven dried tomato, charred scallions, peewee potatoes, lemon and white wine.

I could eat this everyday and be so happy with life. Delicious!

Next up: Bellevue Crab Cakes Benedict: Parker House roll, braised greens, Green tomato, hollandaise

These were insane. Highly recommend.

Last for the Main Course, but certainly not least – Braised Elysian Field Lamb Shoulder, sugar snap peas, morels, smoked lamb belly, fresh herbs served alongside cucumber yogurt.

Doesn’t get any better than this – it was so tasty and beautifully done.

Now it’s time for DESSERT!

We enjoyed an assortment of spring inspired desserts that were just about too beautiful to eat – but I clearly did, because they all looked so good!

Seriously, these cupcakes?! Yes, please!

These fruit tarts might have been my favorite – the kumquats, which are in season now – was SO GOOD on this. If you go to brunch at XIX, make sure you order this!

A few more dessert photos for your drooling pleasure.

And we ended the meal with tea.

XIX Nineteen has tea every weekend, which I am totally going to take advantage of ASAP. We had a blooming jasmine tea and it was delicious – the perfect ending to a delicious meal.

If you are in the Philadelphia area, be sure to put XIX Nineteen on your list! Amazing views, fabulous food {as you can see} and a great staff to go along with it.

Thank you so much to my friends at XIX Nineteen for having me and for a delicious meal!

I’ll be back ASAP and until then, I’ll be dreaming about this fantastic brunch!
