VIDEO: Down the Shore Fun in the Aqua Park at Island Water Sports with Kids – Stone Harbor, NJ

Last week the boys and I set out for another adventure down the shore – we were invited to check out the Aqua Park at Island Water Sports in Stone Harbor, NJ.

I was excited to be able to check this out – I’d seen it from afar many times, but I wasn’t sure if the boys would be able to handle it on their own, so it was nice I was able to go along with them. The Aqua Park is a big space on the Bay in Stone Harbor with a BUNCH of fun blow up features which are great for climbing, sliding, jumping, racing and falling into the water!

Brook is almost 4.5 and Graham will be 3 in 3 months – so they are a little on the young side for this kind of activity – but the staff at the park tell me they have 2 year olds come frequently! So I suited the boys up in their {mandatory} life vests and we jumped right in!

I took my GoPro along for the ride – which was slightly challenging with two boys sliding around, but we had lots of fun! I put together this video sharing with you our adventure. If you are looking to take your kids to a water park like this this summer, I’d definitely recommend it! We had a great time and the boys are already asking to go back!

Check out our video and let me know what you think!

We ended up going first thing in the morning and had the place more or less to ourselves, which was great for the kids to get used to the scene and have some space. Much of the activities were for a slightly older crowd, but as my boys got more and more comfortable, they did more things. Brooks was working his way to doing the slides and climbing up the walls – its the sort of summer fun that you do every year and see how your littles have grown and learned by seeing what new things they can conquer!

And Island Water Sports is adding more and more upgrades to the Aqua Park – and they are constantly changing what they have up and running each day, which I think is super cool! If you are down the Jersey Shore this summer, be sure to check them out for some fun, and let me know what you think!

And before I go, I’d love to know ->

How old would your kids have to be or have been to do this sort of thing? Please share!

Wow – that place looks awesome! You are a brave, fun mother to tackle this place on your own. Brooks did great – I was impressed how well Graham did as being surrounded by water can be a little scary at his age. You certainly are “Mother of the Year” and what a difference next year will make!
