Have I been living in Philadelphia with boyf a whole month? I think today might be that day! Happy 1 month of co-habitation to me! Since we have only been in our new place a short time, boyf and I have a list of things we still need to get and do for the place, but it is going to happen over time. We did however make a fabulous purchase this weekend. I tweeted about it so some of you already know, but we purchased a vacuum! Woohoo!
Isn’t it kind of weird when you get so excited over things like this? I never thought the day would come when I would want to do a happy dance over the purchase of a vacuum! We got the Dirt Devil Easy Lite. I am pretty happy with it so far. Its not too big, lightweight, red (one of my favorite colors!) and does its job pretty well. Here is boyf putting it together, how sweet of him. Then it is all put together! OoOoOo. AhHhHh!
I got really excited and put the vacuum to work right away!
Boyf tested it out too. We were both pretty satisfied.
Boyf then wanted to see what it felt like to vacuum his head….Oh boys will be boys! He makes me laugh!!
Check this out- All of this was after 5 minutes of vacuuming! Our apartment is new and no one has lived in it before, so the carpets still have these fluff balls that come up from people walking on it. It was driving me nuts (which is why we needed a vacuum!) so I am happy to say the carpet looks so fresh and so clean now!
Jackson was pretty freaked out by the noise from the vacuum so he stayed and hung out on the recliner. Sorry for terrifying you little boy, but mommy needed to clean the carpets!
Also we got some other exciting things. I got a new teapot! Hence the tea I was able to enjoy this morning. It was courtesy of this bad boy! I enjoy the stainless steel. I was thinking of getting a red or yellow one, but I just couldn’t commit to a color, so we went with the basic, and I think it looks pretty good.
I also got these containers to go on my kitchen counter top. $10 for all four! I thought they were a pretty good deal. And I enjoy the red and yellow pop of color. I am going to put sugar and flour and stuff like that in them. Other kitchen essentials. What do you think? I would also like to report a personal accomplishment. Remember the peanut butter filled pretzels I got this past week from Trader Joes? Well they are still around. I put them in a cute container and I haven’t eaten them all yet! Pretty happy with myself about that!
Stay tuned for a fabulous giveaway!!
