Finding the Balance

I am having some balance issues in my life right now, and I am hoping that some changes are going to be taking place in the near future. I am finding that I can’t ‘do it all’ – work full time and take a challenging  course load while still having time for other things I enjoy – training for my half marathons, blogging, spending time with boyf and friends, and just living life. I am 25 years young and I want to have a full and happy life (who doesn’t right?), but I want to take control of my balance issues now and find a happy medium.

I am a HUGE believer in work/life balance. How do you balance work/healthy living/blogging?

I biked down to Philadelphia and back to class today and got in a nice little cardio action in. I saw Sabrina on my way to class in the morning! It’s a small world on Kelly Drive in the early morning hours.  I like the fact that even though on Tues/Wed/Thurs I have classes and I may not have time to get a run in, but the 9+ mile bike ride 3 times a week gets my heart rate pumping!

When I came home it was around lunch time and I was craving something light so I made myself a little fruit/yogurt action. In the mix- Kashi summer berry granola, Crazy Richard’s peanut butter, strawberries, bananas, wheat berries & my sonyfield yogurt.


Crazy Richard’s was nice enough to send me some samples. Today I tried out the creamy peanut butter, and it was just heavenly. Crazy Richard’s PB has no salt, sugar, hydrogenated oils or trans fats added. Their only ingredients is peanuts. It is quite tasty!


This bowl inspired me to write this post because I felt it was so balanced itself. It’s got all my major food groups – dairy, fruit, carbs and peanut butter! LOVE!


Yum Yum! I have lots to do. The apartment is a mess and I need organization in my life before I can study. I have a Biology quiz on Thursday and a Chemistry Test next Tuesday!

Off to soak up some knowledge.

    Girl, I have been struggling with the same issues! From blogging to work to socializing to running to studying for the GMATS – agh! I think that's what all of us bloggers do – want each segment of our lives to be the best, but it's how we juggle them all that is the most important. You're doing a great job balancing, at least from this perspective!

    let me know when you do find that balance. school & work fulltime, then raising my brother and still being in a relationship and still finding time to workout…yeah there's a lot of stuff going on. but somehow i manage.

    Dude, I am the epitome of trying to find balance. You and I are in very similar situations. There is so much I want to do. So much I need to do, and it seems that they are uneven at the time.

    I think you're doing great with everything, honestly. It's so hard to think of it this way but just always tell yourself – this isn't forever. Soon enough your courses will be done, and you'll be on your way to pursuing school full time (I think?) and doing what you want to do with your life.

    It will all so be worth it in the end.

    That said, always make time for fun. I learned that the hard way (getting sick)…
