I boarded a special tour bus and immediately was handed some snacks. What’s going to the movies without some treats? I got some popcorn, candy, a water and a media packet.
I loved the GPFO logo. It reminded me of a place fiancé and I just visited! Look familiar?
Check out our ride! The actual tour will be on a different bus which holds 21 people, but this bus was bigger for the media event.
The inside was equipped with some televisions, which were used to watch specific movie clips, as well as an awesome tour guide.
The tour stops at various locations throughout the city of Philadelphia to show you where different movie scenes were filmed. You watch the movie clip, drive by the location and the tour guide shares some secrets about the filming in that area.
It was a really cool tour. We saw lots of places where National Treasure was filmed:
As well as a scene from the Italian Job:
The entire tour is 2.5 hours long, covers more than 50 movie sites and nearly 30 movies and shows filmed in Philadelphia. It was so interesting, and half of the movie’s we saw I didn’t even know where filmed here!
It was also a really nice night out in Philly for this tour. I brought my friend Jill along with me tonight and we had a nice time walking around the city for a bit after.
We sat down and each got a fun drink.
I told the bartender I wanted something fun, but not too sweet. She suggested the Fountain of Youth – Smirnoff Blueberry, Green Tea and Mint. It smelled and tasted so yummy! I would definitely order that again!
Jill got the Bubbly Breeze – Rum and Champagne are always winning combinations in my book! It was pretty and pink!
I loved the vibe in Jones, it was really cool.
I don’t know why but the place reminded me of the Brady Bunch. Maybe it was the fake flowers and the nightlights. It was very inviting and homey with really cool interior decorating.
It was nice to enjoy an evening down in the city with my old roommate and fellow bride to be! We had a great time catching up!
Since we had snacked at the Movie Tour we weren’t too hungry, but split two appetizers anyways. I wanted to try some of the food! We shared the chicken and rock shrimp dumplings and the baked macaroni and cheese. Both were pretty awesome. Total comfort food. I loved it!
I want to come back here again for dinner one night! It was a fun place!
