Meatballs and Marinara

I feel like I haven’t blogged about food on this blog lately. I need to fix that! Hopefully in the next few days you will see more exciting. inspiring healthy meals.

Tonight, a lazy rainy Tuesday in Philadelphia, I needed a quick and easy meal in my life. A little while ago I was sent some Bove’s frozen meatballs. I knew tonight was the perfect night to whip those out!

I also received some awesome Lucini Tuscan Marinara with Roasted Garlic Sauce to test out as well. I knew I needed some fancy sauce to go with my fancy meatballs! Yum!

To go along with my meatballs and marinara I roasted up some veggies. Featured on this frying pan are some peppers, onions and so beautifully green asparagus.

I put the meatballs on a bed of whole wheat pasta. Bove’s meatballs are all natural, oven baked and they are all handmade. They tasted really good. You can tell they are made with lots of love.

My plate. I ate about half the pasta, apparently I put way more on the plate then I can handle, but that works for me because I heart leftovers! Seriously, who doesn’t?

I love when I have time to make a home cooked meal. It makes my evening so much more enjoyable!

After my meatball photo shoot, I topped off my plate with some Lucini marinara. Lucini Italia does not add sugar, water, dehydrated herbs, or anything artificial. The sauce was awesome.

Do you have a favorite pasta sauce?

What’s your favorite way to spice up the traditional spaghetti and meatballs?

As you can see, I love to try out new sauces. I think they make a big difference to any meal. I also love doing lots of veggies in the mix! The veggies complete the meal! Yum!

Your meal looked awesome! I have always liked Ragu sauces. I need to try another brand, more organic and see how I like it. Maybe I'll try the brand you liked.

Hi Leslie: I know its long overdue but I thought I would pass this along. For the first 10 people that submit an email to me at SAUCEBOY@BOVES.COM I will send them a jar of my award winning Vodka sauce. No joke! I was reading up on your comments and your readers should really try my Vodka sauce. I can remember Bobby Flay saying right before I had the Throwdown, that he liked the spicy twist I have in the Vodka sauce. And next thing you know, we're throwing down with "lasagna".
I would love to hear about the comments on my sauce. My natural sauces are made locally and better than this are all Gluten Free and contain no added sugar. Every tomato-based pasta sauce today seems to have sugar in their sauce. Yuck!
I look forward hearing comments and sending sauce out.
