Operation Beautiful Giveaway

Have you caught the Operation Beautiful bug?

I am not only a big Caitlin fan, but I am also a big Operation Beautiful fan! I believe that the Operation Beautiful phenomenon is nothing short of amazing .

The day Operation Beautiful came out in stores I went to purchase it. I definitely believe in supporting my blog friends as much as I can, but I love the message behind Operation Beautiful too!

ob 003

I am halfway through the book and it is just an amazing read. It consists of 7 Chapters with focuses on Fat Talk, Fitness, Food and Faith, among other things as well.

ob 005

Operation Beautiful showcases the notes women have posted around the world and the stories behind them. It features interviews, interesting research findings, and tips for improving one’s outlook on life, each Post-it tells a different story from different perspectives.

ob 004

I love seeing all the amazing post it notes from people all over the world. I defiantly have noticed a few familiar faces in the book too! How fun is it to actually know people in a book? (It’s even cooler to know the author too! Woohoo!)

ob 007

Caitlin’s publishing company contacted me a few days ago offering to send me a copy of Operation Beautiful to review on the blog. But being the supportive blogger friend I am, I already had one copy.

So what’s a blogger to do with an extra copy of an amazing book??

I am dying for this book!
I have been on operation beautiful missions since it came out… My favorites I have posted were:
On a price checker at Macy's
    "You are priceless"
And on a scale "This is a # you are a miracle"

I get to work about a half an hour before most of my co-workers. I love to leave notes with positive messages on them, or tiny goofy presents, so they will start the day with a smile. I am in love with the concept of how one post it note can have such a deep positive impact. I would be so thrilled to win this giveaway. I would definitely cherish it and share the message with others!

I would like to win the book, because I could really use the inspiration right now. I think if I wrote a note it would say "Never forget how strong and powerful you are!"

I would love to be able to share this book with my daughter, who just started 4th grade. I want her to grow up with a positive self-image.

I just found your blog a couple days ago and LOVE it. I think this book sounds amazing. I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter, that already, I can see is being overwhelmed with messages of what beauty means. She is constantly asking me, "Do I look pretty?" But, I constantly struggle when we watch movies with princesses or talk about different things and she associates the "good" guys are the pretty girls and the "bad" guys are the ugly, evil witches. This would be a huge help!

Of course I'd like a copy of the book, who doesn't?I think it will be nice to read the book and start the post-it beauty here where I live (Italy).
Next month I'll be traveling to the US and Caitlin's book is one of the (many) things I have on my "to-buy" list 😉

I keep forgetting to order this book, so OBVIOUSLY I should win!

I would love to win a copy of the book. I was recently trying to explain to my mom what Operation Beautiful was but was having a hard time explaining without showing her a picture.

I want to win the book to help get over the last of my fat talk in my head and then pass it along to other friends that I know could use it.

Voted for the blog again too:)

That book sounds amazing. Can I get a signed copy from the author?

  • Reply MacKenzie September 13, 2010 at 6:56 pm

I'd like to win the book for my sister. She and I have done the whole fat talk thing for years. It's only in the last couple where we've really worked hard to ignore everything that goes with that, while looking inside and focusing on what's great about ourselves and about life. She's also starting to participate in my blog, as we are both inspiring one another to live a healthy life with a healthy outlook. So far, it's been great. I think she'd thoroughly enjoy the Operation Beautiful book and I'm sure she'd agree that it's something we wish we had as teenagers.
