A Daily Dose of Lemon

I try to start every day out with a daily dose of lemon in my H20. I love the taste – it changes things up from plain ‘ole water. I also love the look of it, especially in a mason jar – I swear it’s more fun to drink out of jars than glasses! But I really do feel like lemons get easily overlooked for their incredibly amazing health benefits & I wanted to share with you:

My Top 4 Favorite Reasons Why Lemons Are Awesome

when life hands you lemons

1. Lemons increase energy & alertness – Want a little boost to start your day off on the right track or to help you concentrate? Lemons are known to do the trick!

2. Lemons are rich in Vitamin C – They are great fighters against infections like the flu & colds. They also have powerful antibacterial properties.

3. Lemons stimulate the liver & cleanse the bowels.  – ’nuff said.

4. Lemons contain lots of antioxidants and Citric Acid  – this combined with Vitamin C {see above} can increase collagen production, which gives us bright, glowing, healthy skin. Word on the street is Vitamin C can also clear up blemishes & scarring when applied topically.

Seriously, we do everything with lemons! We use them to make lemonade, add them to our cocktails to give a little zing, cook with them, clean with them, garnish with them – there isn’t anything lemon’s don’t do! For these reasons  & so many more I am happy I add them to my water every day.

Aw, this was a very good post. Spending some time and actual effort to
    make a really good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate
a whole lot and don’t seem to get nearly anything done.
