My First Maternity Stitch Fix

Maternity Fix

Today I’m so excited to share with you my first MATERNITY Stitch Fix! AHH! I was SO excited when I got a notice from Stitch Fix letting me know that they would now be styling pregnant ladies {aka ME!} This literally rolled out the week I announced our pregnancy – how’s that for timing?! I was so bummed last time I was pregnant because I completely stopped my Fixes during my pregnancy with Brooks because I didn’t think it made sense, since they didn’t have maternity-wear. Well, now they do & I will totally be taking advantage!

For this Fix I didn’t really request anything specific because I didn’t know what to expect from the maternity selection so I just let them run wild with their picks. While I do have a good amount of clothes from my pregnancy with Brooks, the seasons will be completely different with this one. With Brooks I wore lots of oversizes sweaters – now I’m going to need some summer gear since I will be bumpin’ all summer long!

Pixley Colibri Heart Print Tab-Sleeve Blouse in Navy {$48}

Pixels Heart Print Blouse

This is the first and only piece from my Fix that isn’t maternity specific, which I enjoy. I tend to lean towards oversized tops that can be worn with skinny jeans or leggings when I am shopping on my own, so this totally fits into my vibe.

Caliber Heart Print Blouse

The navy color is really pretty – my favorite actually – and I enjoy the fact that even though this is a printed pattern, it’s basic enough to easily be paired with any solid colored sweater or top. I’m just a liiiiitle unsure about the hearts – what do you think?

Colibri Heart Blouse

I was having lighting issues when I took these photos, which is why the top looks more black – but trust me, it’s a really pretty navy. Did I mention I love the length of this top. It’s long and a bit oversized, in a good way, on the bottom. I also tried belting this top and I love how it highlighted the bump!

Added bonus – this will also be perfect for nursing into the Fall! Win!

LA Made Maternity Albany Ruffle Detail Cross-Front Maternity Knit Top in Dark Grey {$48}

LA Made Maternity Cross Front Top

This top I was sort of “meh” about when I took it out of the box. In theory, it’s perfect for what I am looking for in terms of summer wear – I need tanks that I can easily pair with skirts and shorts – but I am not sure about this top.

Albany Ruffle Detail Cross Front Maternity Top

Again, lightning issues with the bottom photos – It’s grey in real life – which is something I’m not a fan of for the summer. I sweat, and I know this would show ever bead of it dripping down my back! I also think it’s a little big for me, I know I would grow into it, but it seems like a little too much excess fabric.

Eight Sixty Mariana Maternity Empire Waist Stripe Knit Top in Black & White {$84}

Eight Sixty Empire Waist Knit Top

This shirt I was immediately drawn to – because I have a solid black maternity top that is almost exactly the same. I wore it last year to a friend shower and I was pretty pumped to be able to bust it out again for baby #2!

Mariana Maternity Empire Waist Stripe Knit Top

I like the black and white stripes, along with the empire waist of this top – the scoop in the back is also really pretty as well.

Mariana Stripe Top

I belted this top and think it looks really nice as well, just don’t really think In need it since I have a solid black maternity top that is almost the exact same! At least Stitch Fix is really getting to know my style!

I’m sort of blown away by how much maternity clothes make my bump look so big! It’s out of control! I swear, when I wear normal clothes you can’t “really” tell – and obviously I just had a baby, so I am aware that I will be showing much sooner the second time around, but it’s a little crazy! This is my first time putting on maternity clothes again, it was a bit of a shock how much the bump wanted to come out and play – also, these pictures were taken later in the day, so it may have been a slight food baby too!

Eight Sixty Maria Maternity Scoop Neck Eyelet Trim Knit Top in Dark Purple {$88}

Eight Sixty Scoop Neck Eyelet Top

This top is so me, I pretty much instantly fell in love. I love the dark purple color, I love the eyelet detail and I love the length. I’m not crazy with the 3/4 length sleeves or the price tag in general, but I think this is a really pretty top.

I think this is a nice piece that will be easy to dress up and down, but I don’t know how much sense it really makes going into spring/summer. I think I’ll be able to wear it a time or two in the spring, but after that it doesn’t really make much sense for summer – at least that’s what I’m thinking – what do you think?

Kut from the Kloth Denna Maternity Skinny Jean {$78}

Kut from the Kloth Maternity Jean

These are the jeans I am wearing in all the above photos. I was excited to see I was sent a pair of bottoms because I really need them! I know I would totally get a ton of use out of a good pair of maternity jeans!

Denna Maternity Skinny Jeans

Sadly, these are too big for me. They were sagging at the waist and in the legs, I kept having to pull them up and it was really annoying. I loved how the felt and looked and I didn’t think they were that bad of a price for a good pair of jeans, but alas, they didn’t really fit.

I had so much fun with this first Maternity Stitch Fix! I loved trying new things and was pretty happy with everything that was sent, minus a few sizing and color issues – would have loved to see more spring-like colors, but hopefully next month!

    I am not a fan of hearts at all but the first blouse looks great on you and looks like a great multi-functional piece! I also loved the eyelet top. I bought a similar top at week 34 to wear to a wedding with my lovely black motherhood work pants and flats and it looked great. That one also looks like a good last minute “I need a dressy top” keeper! I invested in a nice pair of 7 jeans from pea in a pod that were similar to my non mat jeans and I loved them. If jeans are your thing I would check them out and spend a little extra on something that will make you feel good. 🙂

    I love all of those outfits!! I so wish Stitch Fix catered to plus sizes! It’s all so cute! Love their maternity line so far, you look great!

    I like #1 – it’s cute and I think you will be able to wear it for awhile, but #2 and #3 will be great for the warmer months that lie ahead! I don’t think #4 is something that you will use alot and the jeans are awesome, but you need one size down.

    Navy/heart top is super cute and looks great on you. Also like the stripe empire waist but you said you already have something similar. Other pieces aren’t as flattering and too bad about size of jeans!

    The eyelet top looks like you are trying to wear a dress that doesn’t quite fit anymore. The black and white top is gorgeous! I’m not sure if you are planning on nursing but the ruffle top looks like it will be great post baby.
