Brooks’ Favorite Things at {almost} Two Years Old

I had a reader request to share with you what Brooks is currently into at the moment and I figured since it’s a big shopping weekend coming up, it could be helpful to anyone shopping for a soon to be two year old!

It’s been a little while since I’ve shared Brooks’ Favorite things – he hasn’t gotten many new toys since the weather has been so nice, we’ve been out and about, which is what we both prefer. But I am excited about the holidays and then his birthday because with these winter months ahead, he does need a little refresh in the toy department!

Here are a few favorite things that Brooks currently loves:

1- I got this wooden magnetic block set that Brooks is all sorts of obsessed with on a pretty sweet deal from zulily. It’s really an amazing product and Brooks loves to play with it. I’ve also picked up this adorable travel tote to keep it organized and a set of wheels for a little extra fun. Amazing gift.

2- Brooks is crazy into arts and crafts. We have been doing a weekly class and he’s totally into it – He especially loves when we do the clay portion of the show, so I recently picked up some play doh for him to enjoy at home and he loves it.

3- Puzzles are currently a huge hit with Brooks – he loves to do all kinds of puzzles, but this one is extra fun because when you put the right animal in the matching shape, it makes the animal noise.

4- These aren’t exactly toys, but Brooks LOVES his rain boots. He comes down in the morning and puts them on, all by himself {occasionally on the wrong feet}. I think they are totally cute and he loves to walk around in them all day.

5- Brooks is all BOY! He loves sports already. Our neighbor got him a full sized {Notre Dame} football and if I would let Brooks carry it around all day, he would. I make him keep it on the second floor of our house because he occasionally tried to throw it at his brother. But he loves to “play football” and practice catching. So fun!

6- Daniel Tiger is a favorite in our house, Brooks especially loves him. He just started carrying around this little plush toy and it’s so sweet.

7- Little man loves trains + we have a bunch of them. This is just a small sample – but I’m a big fan of anything wooden + these trains are just fun!

8- Got this Doctor Set as a gift recently and Brooks is totally into it. He takes everything out of the box and does a little check-up with the set, it’s all sorts of adorable. Plus, I really love this brand.

9- Brooks + Charles play basketball every night together. They both totally love this hoop set – it’s a classic and will grow with him.

Now it’s your turn to share –

I remember those days…we still have a ton on Brio train sets and the fun the whole family had with the Lottle Tykes basketball net was epic!

My almost-two-year-old likes these things and a buckle toy we have (perfect for car trips!), as well as books, books, books. Also, B. Toys dog guitar, which is kind of annoying for the parents. 😉

These are all great items for a very active Brooks – I know he loves his books as well cause we read together several times a day!
