Blueberry Picking at Johnson’s Corner Farm in Medford, NJ

I interrupt my regular summer posting of life + style at the beach to bring you a little dose of summer fun we had when we were back in Philly two weeks ago!

We have gone Apple Picking as well as Pumpkin Picking + Hayrides at Johnson’s Corner Farm previously! It’s located in Medford, NJ for all my Philadelphia area friends – it’s a great little spot and we really love stopping by a few times a year for a fun day out with the kids!

After being at the beach for so long and being back in Philly, I wanted to do something fun and different with the kids. I love everything that the city has to offer – we have memberships all over {seriously, all over!} but sometimes it’s nice to get out of the city and spend the day on the farm!

I had never been blueberry picking before so that was an added bonus! The fun started with a hayride – which the boys obviously LOVED!

And then we were off on the hunt! I had to keep Graham from picking the green ones {not ripe!} but Brooks loves searching around for the blue ones.

Also, had to keep Graham from eating all his pickings! The little dude couldn’t stop chowing down on fresh blueberries, but who could blame him?

Our loot.

After picking blueberries we got back on the hayride to check out some sugar snap peas!

These were a little harder to search for, but if you are a {almost} 2 and 3.5 year old boy – you love the hunt! Especially if it involves searching through the farmland!

Again, Graham couldn’t wait to try some!

After we picked a few snap peas, we made our way back to the main Farm area on the hayride.

Aside from the hayride and fruit/vegetable picking – they have a little animal farm, a great {REALLY GREAT!} playground for the kids and always some sort of different event for the kids going on each weekend. I really love this little farm!

And new this year, which I had no idea about {hence, why my kids are in their underwear!} is a really cool little splash pad area. There are 3 different areas for different ages, perfect for my kids! It’s a great thing to have in the summer when its super hot and the littles want to cool off.

Can’t wait to come back in the fall and pick some apples! If you are in the south jersey area, be sure to check it out – we always have such a blast anytime we go!
