A Day at Hersheypark with Kids {and all the awesome rides!}

It’s been a wild, crazy and fun summer! We have been all over the place – the beach, the shore, we are heading to the lake in a few days and last week, we spent some time at the sweetest place on Earth – in Hershey, PA!

I am a BIG FAN of Hershey. If you have been reading the blog for a while you probably know that I spent a weekend there in the Spring – Check out: Day 1 / Day 2 / Day 3 { we did EVERYTHING and it was AWESOME!} Last Summer we spent the night in Hershey and hit up Chocolate World + Troegs {which I highly recommend} when the kids were a lot smaller! They weren’t big enough for Hersheypark then, but I’m so glad we took them this year because it.was.perfect!

If you’ve ever been to Hersheypark, you know that you get measured by candy to see what rides you can go on. Graham was a Hershey’s Miniatures + Brooks measured to be a Hershey’s Kisses. I was blown away by the amount of rides Brooks could go on – there were SO MANY! We were there all day and didn’t even ride everything. Most of them he could go on himself, which was fabulous and he loved it!

And the rides that Graham was big enough for, they could go on together which they really enjoyed! Graham is a little more hesitant about things like that but with Brooks there with him, he was loving each ride!

And a bunch of the rides I got to go on too  – with one or both the boys – good fun!

It was a hot day and it was a long day, but it was an absolute blast. The boys were loving each minute, and so was I! There was so much to see and do that everyone was constantly entertained and well behaved, everyone was on their best behavior – Graham napped on the go in the stroller {which was amazing} and my mom took a break with him, while Brooks and I snuck off to ride some more rides!

This picture pretty much sums up how Brooks felt about Hersheypark.

This one too!

He pretty much wants to live at Hersheypark now – Ha!

And what is better on a hot summer day than a visit to the Boardwalk – which is the waterpark at Hersheypark, included with admission! Unfortunately on the day we were there, a summer storm passed through and they had to close all the water activities for a while. So that only means that we will have to go back, because it looked awesome!

The rain that hit while we were in the park was sort of perfect because it cooled everything down and we ended up sneaking into the Oceans of Fun show they had going on! I had NO IDEA there was a seal + sea lion show that went on in the park – it was educational and awesome to learn about the training + conservation efforts that goes on!

Seriously, it was such a nice show and a great addition to Hersheypark, not to mention a great way to take a break from the sun and all the rides with the kids. The boys were mesmerized by the seals + sea lions!

Since this visit was all about the kids and sharing Hersheypark with them, I didn’t get a chance to sneak away to any of my favorite roller coasters, but again- that just means I’ll have to come back again soon!

All in all we had an amazing day in Hersheypark – I was completely impressed with the amount of rides + ride types they had for the kids. Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post, there were SO MANY rides for Brooks to enjoy, and the perfect amount for Graham too. Everyone had an absolute blast.

A little visit to Chocolate World for a milkshake at the end of the day + we were good to go!

Hersheypark – we love ya! We will be back for sure!
