Video: Adirondack Extreme Adventure Kids Ropes Course + Zip Line – Lake George, NY

So excited to share this post with you today because it was so much fun to make and it was so much fun for me to watch Brooks experience this! Before our trip to Lake George, I did a little research and found Adirondack Extreme Adventure that wasn’t too far from where we were staying – it looked like so much fun + perfect for Brooks, so we checked it out online and made plans to make that a special part of our vacation.

And I’m SO GLAD we did!

Before I get into the whole blog post about our experience, here’s an inside look Brooks completing the entire Kids Course and the Yellow Two Course. If you’ve got a little adventure loving kiddo on your hands, this would be a great summer activity to try.

Check it out and let me know what you think!

Brooks has done a ropes course a time or two before – there is one locally in Philadelphia at the Philadelphia Zoo. He loved it, had an absolute blast, but this was a much different course and much higher in the trees. I was hopeful that he would love it and I was right!

Adirondack Extreme is awesome for younger kids because it has two courses they can do. First you must complete the Kids Course to advance to the Yellow Two Course.

Brooks flew through this one.

I was so surprised because he just stepped off the block with his belay and away he went. The Kids + Yellow Two courses have a special belay system that allows the kids to do it all themselves, safely locked in – while keeping their movements free and uninterrupted. It was awesome and so easy for my little guy to use.

Another awesome thing about this course – there is a walkway throughout the 30+ obstacles on each one, so parents and siblings can follow along and watch. This was endlessly entertaining for me and for Graham too {he was too little to do it, but we will be back for him next time!}

The Yellow Two course was HIGH.

Brooks was literally up in the trees without a care in the world. He had the absolute best time and was completely fearless.

I love encouraging this sort of activity for my littles – its promoting exercise, self confidence, getting outside, trying something new and so much more. Brooks took chances, pushed himself and was such an incredible little monkey swinging through the trees. I was so beyond proud of him.

The other amazing thing about when we went – for the Kids Course + Yellow Two – you can do them over and over again. We were at Adirondack Extreme Adventure Course for over 3 hours while Brooks did his thing. It was incredible and such a great way to spend the morning.

They had a playground for Graham and Brooks made some little treetop friends to race around the course with and everyone had a grand old time.

The courses Brooks could go on also had zip lines throughout – Brooks was able to do 5 separate ones in total and I think they were one of his favorite parts – Because, zip lines are obviously awesome. There are also 6 other courses that I can’t wait to come back and do with Brooks when he is taller – the place was a beautiful, treetop oasis and I’m so glad we experienced it!

Proud of my little man for his accomplishments on this day and I can’t wait to find more adventures for us to explore together!

Now I’d love to hear from you – Have your littles ever done a ropes course or zip line? How old were they we they went? Any suggestions for places to go in the Philadelphia area for more of this awesome-ness? Please share!
